Michael Bennett, 67, was last seen Friday at about 11 a.m. when he was dropped off by a JWS transport driver. State police reported that the transport driver had dropped the elderly man off at the wrong location in the suburban area of Des Plains.
Bennett suffers from depression and had attempted suicide. He was being transported from Chicago Behavioral Health Hospital in Des Plains to Des Plains Nursing Home. Only, the driver dropped him off at the intersection of Touhy Avenue and Maple Street at the wrong location.
Bennett walked away and has not been seen or heard from since.
Bennett is described as being 5’8’ and 125lbs, Caucasian, with a goatee. He also has a large tattoo on the left side of his chest. He carried with him a camouflage bag and was wearing a baseball cap, black shoes, and a large brown coat.
Neither the hospital nor the nursing home could be reached for comment.
