Get the Medical Records from the Hospital and the Nursing Home
If an injury has occurred to your loved one, it is imperative to obtain their medical records immediately. The reason so, is because nursing homes will usually stop at nothing to place the blame on your loved one. Even if the evidence is stacked against the nursing home.

Begin the Probate Process if Your Loved One Has Passed Away
If your loved one has passed away, their right to pursue legal action is still valid. A deceased person’s right to pursue a suit is handed over to the Estate, in the event of their death.
For example, the plaintiff will go from being “Jane Doe” to “The Estate of Jane Doe”. In order to continue forward with the lawsuit, the Estate will first need to be established.
